The week concluded with the crowning of Justin Daniels and Tia Brunswig before the Trego Quinter football game, which resulted in a 6-54 loss for the Golden Eagles.
Earlier in the week, students participated in competitive dress up days with different themes. Thursday’s theme, Coach Flax Day, resulted in the majority of the student body dressing up in athletic shorts, tees, and lanyards, complete with whistles and pens.
The week also included the Senior Class painting the streets to show school spirit and provide decorations for the downtown parade and pep assembly that took place on Friday. The downtown businesses judged the class float, and voted the seniors as the winners. Later that evening, students participated in a car bash and bonfire, held at the fairgrounds.
The concluding event for the week was the Homecoming dance, with music by Midnight Productions.

In the first quarter, Devon Ghumm scored Trego’s only touchdown. On a good note, Ghumm’s touchdown gave Quinter one of the only two touchdowns the rival team allowed all season.
Cameron Staples was the leading rusher for Trego with 22 carries for 75 yards, followed by Ghumm with eight carries for 60 yards, an average of 7.5 yards per carry.
Defensively, Ghumm also led in tackles with 11 unassisted and eight assisted tackles. Jamie Ikenberry and John Griffith contributed eight and 13 tackles, respectively. Griffith also recovered a fumble.
The entire scout squad defensive unit was rewarded with the Scout Squad Players of the Week award. Ghumm and Ikenberry were the Defensive Players of the Week. Also, Coach Myron Flax named Ghumm the Defensive Player of the Week.
