“It was our best game ever,” said Senior Joseph Wolf, a member of the Golden Eagle basketball team.
The Golden Eagles stepped out of the locker room ready to play against the 3-1 Redmen. By the end of the first quarter, Trego finished with a 12-10 edge over their opponents. A tight second quarter ended the half dead even, 28-28.
Allowing the Redmen only a one-point advantage, Trego remained right behind Smith Center in the third quarter. However, that one-point lead was the downfall of the Golden Eagles. The game ended, 54-55.
John Griffith, with 12 points, and Brad Pfannenstiel, with 11, were the top scorers for the night’s game.
